Lift Axle

A lift axle (sometimes called a "Tag Axle" or Push Axle) is typically found on tractor units. It is located behind (or in front) of the powered drive axle and is usually able to be "lifted" off the roads when it's not required. It can also be found on trailers and rigids vehicles.
